And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
Greetings to you today in the name of our Lord Jesus,
As I come to you in greeting this day, I do so with a heart of thanksgiving for the mighty blessings of our Lord God Almighty! His faithfulness is everlasting. Today we bless his holy name!
For the past few weeks I feel as though the Lord has been speaking directly to my soul of the importance of man’s willingness to seek the Lord for His changing power for the matters of the heart. As we look about our communities, into our homes, and even within the realm of the Church worldwide, we are able to identify many a situation or circumstance that is absolutely in the need for the healing touch of the Lord Jesus. Just as the Lord God spoke over the house of Israel (Ezekiel 36), He is speaking over the nations today. In defense of the holiness of His name, He and He alone holds the power to change the heart of man. It is by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, given forth by the Lord God, that the hearts of man are changed anew, from a heart of stone to that which is a heart of flesh. From a heart of sin to a heart of holiness, not brought about by the goodness or well doing of man, but by the supernatural gift of God alone. As man receives the Lord Jesus as his redeemer and savior, he is changed anew.
Church, let us be reminded today of the words of Christ Jesus as he gave the promise of the Holy Spirit to his disciples. Within John 14, he declares to you and I ‘if you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you’! The Spirit of truth is the power of God for the changing of heart!
Today, I ask that we join together praying ‘Lord God, by the power of the blessed Holy Spirit, let your presence be known. O God, let the nations be touched by Your almighty hand. Let the heart of sin be changed by Your saving grace as the name of Jesus is proclaimed. Bring salvation, healing and deliverance to our households, our communities and to the nations! This we pray in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. Amen!
We look forward to having you with us this Sunday. Sincerely, Pastor Simeon
