New Opportunity – Thirsting for God to do a New Thing
“I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”
Greetings to you today in the name of our Lord Jesus,
Behold, I am making all things new! I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts! Church, may you hear today the very words of the Lord God over your life. It is his desire to do a new thing in your life today. He whose words are faithful and true, He is the Beginning and the End and by whom all things consist (Col 1:17). As He begins a new work, let us be reminded today, his grace flows continually. In your desire to receive from Him, His word to you is your assurance that as you thirst for Him he will give freely to you. What a wonderful promise!
If you were to look within me your daily walk today, you may see the challenges for greater patience, stamina, and even understanding when dealing with family, friends or others for the many situations and questions of life that arise. As you ponder on the challenges that come to mind, I pose the thought, ‘might the Lord be doing a new work of expanding your capacities of service and love to others in this season? I’m reminded today of the Apostle Paul’s prayer for those that he had been teaching in the Thessalonica. As he encouraged them to continue and to stand firm in their faith in the midst of difficulties all around (1These 3:12), he wrote, May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
May we see today that rather than to ask why? Or wonder, why me? In the midst of daily challenges and even difficulties, may we see today that there is another way to handle the experiences of life. We are able to face each experience – each day, as an opportunity to ask- ‘Lord God, expand your love in my heart; help me to see You opening new opportunities for me to love and serve others!’ Let us pray, ‘Lord God as I thirst for you, Lord God, do new work in me!
Last Sunday, our first Sunday regathering since the month of March, was a success! I believe that as we begin to regather with consistency, God is going to allow us to experience a rebirthing of the Christ’s Chapel congregation. You are invited to come believing for God’s hand at work. This is a new day!
We look forward to having you worship with us.
Sincerely, Pastor Simeon
