Giving God All The Glory
Here it is again Saturday and we are looking forward to tomorrow for Sunday worship. It is with an inner hunger for the touch of our Father God that I believe man is to come before Him in worship. The Psalmist wrote:
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:2
It may be better understood to say, give unto the Lord the glory that is due his name. Or even, of his name. Our Lord God Almighty, the only one who is to be worshiped, is God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who possess the same perfections of true holiness. Holiness is the splendor or beauty of God himself. Through Christ Jesus you are afforded the beauty of God for 2 Corinthians 5:21 states. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. How great is our God is!
You have many a reason to give God glory. His provisions are given unto you. His watchful eye is over you. And as I brought to you last week, you are even kept by his power. Glory to His name!
As many of you may have heard, it was just this past week when on Monday, I begin to experience physical problems. These problems were reminiscent of that which I experienced with full bladder retention upon return from an African mission in 2018. By Wednesday I found myself needing to be taken to the ER for immediate medical care. Shortly after arrival it was obvious that I was on the brink of major complications. After the needed emergency care I was admitted for follow-up, being released Friday afternoon. I want to give my praise before my Lord God for his hand of guidance and peace through every step of the way. What it feel as though my back was up against the wall and that I was headed for another great difficulty our great God brought the right people together to take care of my every physical need. The primary nurse that facilitated my emergency care was a believer and a daughter of a pastor. Truly it does not even enter into the mind of man to understand the very depth of how much our great God cares for us (1 Cor 2:9). Even down to the very small details. We are able to rejoice with ‘I am a His… and He is mine! Many thanks to God, I am now home for full recovery and follow-up. The prayers of the people of God reached the highest heavens. To Him be all the glory.
Let us come together this Sunday giving God all the glory due onto his name! I am quite sure that just as I do, you have a reason to bless the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.
