Giving of Yourself
Christ’s Chapel Weekly Greetings 6/14/20
by Pastor Simeon
Greetings today Church,
What a beautiful day this is! Once again the Lord God provides unto you a magnitude of reason to give Him glory. The Psalmist wrote within Psalm 100 a song of praise with the words,
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness is to all generations.
The days of this life are often filled with a challenge or two, and then there are those days that it may even be a bit more, however the Word of God is reminding us here, that in every day, we are to serve the Lord with gladness! You see Church, this is a decision. I will serve the Lord with a spirit of gladness. First Peter 4 explains that as you follow in the ways of the Lord, He gives to you the power to show His love one to another with the gifts He blesses you with. First Peter 4:9 states ‘As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace’. God’s Word instructs, when blessed with the ability to speak, do so with the very words of God. When blessed with the gift of serving, we are to serve with the strength that God provides, in order that God may be glorified through Christ Jesus, to whom be all glory and power…forever!
As we serve the Lord, day in and day out, with a determination to bring glory to His name, we will come into his presence with a singing. Knowing that we are His and He is ours, changes everything in this life. We walk with the assurance of who we are in Him!
As we gather this Sunday, let us enter into His presence with a thanksgiving, blessing His name for He is gracious, good and abundant in power (Ps. 147). He is our great and good God, who is faithful to all generations.
Make it a point to serve the Lord all the days of your life with a spirit of gladness. Give a smile, give a cup of sugar, give a happy word! Your family, your community and your Church are in need of your testimony and encouragement. Let all be done unto the glory of your Lord God.
Many thanks to all who continue to support the Church by your faithful giving by mail. Your assistance means all the difference for the continuance of the work of the Lord.
