You Are Precious
Greetings Church Family and Friends,
We bless the name of our Lord today, for this is once again, the day that the Lord has created. David the Psalmist wrote
‘Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it. I thank you that you have
answered me and have become my salvation. The stone that the builders rejected has
become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
As the Psalmist pours out his heart in praise before the Lord God, he reflects on his love for the house of God, to such a degree that he is admiring the very gates of entrance. His love may be seen as recognition for entering into the presence of the Lord, knowing that so many before him had already entered, and because the people of God of all ages to come, would continue to press on, entering by the blood of the Lamb; Christ Jesus the Son of God. The Church, sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be His holy people, together with all who call on His name, are enriched in Him, in all speech and knowledge, ‘so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed’ (1 Cor 1). Jesus, your salvation, He is your cornerstone upon which your faith is built! As you take faith in Him, by the indwelling of the blessed Holy Spirit, you shall not lack in the spiritual gifts of God! His anointing shall work through you. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it! All praise to the Lord Jesus.
When the eyes of man are opened to the truth and power of God; when we understand the provision of Christ Jesus, His only begotten son, given for you; when we walk in His righteousness, filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit, we are then able to fully appreciate how precious every man is in the sight of God. God foreknew of your need of salvation, thus He provided your Savior, Jesus Christ. God foreknew of your need for His power as you eagerly wait on the return of our Lord Jesus, thus He provided the Holy Spirit!
As we look around our nation this week, we cry out before God, ‘Let all the people see how precious every life is before You; speak to them Lord; may they be convicted by the power of the blessed Holy Spirit; draw the lost soul to Salvation; let us see Your marvelous works in this time of great need, this we pray. Amen’.
