Be Strong In The Lord
Christ’s Chapel Weekly Greetings 4/26/20
by Pastor Simeon

Greetings once again dear Family of God,

Today we give a shout out to the Lord for his keeping us into another day.  For giving us the strength to again praise His holy name!

I give honor unto our Lord God for his faithfulness day in and day out.   It was last week that our teaching took us to God’s word for an examination of our walk of faith.   We learned, as apostle Paul ministered to the church of Ephesus, he prayed that God ‘would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love (Eph 3:16-17).  Truly, as you are consistent in your walk with Christ by faith, you will be able to testify that you are being rooted and grounded in Him.  You will find that as you learn of His goodness, by the power of the word, you will be filled with the fulness of God (Eph 3:19).

In this life, especially during such times in which we are living, there will be challenges to our faith.  The voices from near and far, through media, from family to friends, and even from the within our own selves, the conversations and messages that come to us may not be in line with the Word of God.   You may even be saying today, Pastor, I’m having difficulty finding peace, or walking in confidence in my trusting the Lord for my tomorrow.  I encourage you to hear the words of Christ Jesus himself.  Picture today, the Lord Jesus standing before you with open arms giving you His words of Matthew 11:28, ‘Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’.   What God is saying to you in this very day is, make the decision, Lord I will come to you.  Even in the midst of my challenges, my hurts, my pain, I will bring to you what weighs me down, knowing that when I come to you, by the power of your word, I will be given rest!

May you declare today in prayer before your Lord God….     Lord Jesus, I come before you, releasing unto you my fears, my worries, the needs of family and friends, my every care, and I declare before you as the Psalmist cried out…

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your (my) foot be moved; he who keeps you (me) will not slumber.  Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your (my) keeper; the Lord is your (my) shade on your (my) right hand.  The sun shall not strike you (me) by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will keep you (me) from all evil; he will keep your (my) life.  The Lord will keep your (my) going out and your (my) coming in from this time forth and forevermore.  Amen.
