To the Church of our Lord Jesus,
On behalf of Christ’s Chapel, I greet you this Resurrection Sunday. This being a day of celebration of our Lord Jesus as none before. As all God’s creation, the world over, are being called to give thought to the value of life, we take comfort in Christ Jesus, the giver of life, and life more abundantly! Today, we recall the Word of the Lord by Apostle Peter, given to you, the people of God;
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1Peter 1:3-5 ESV).
He goes on to teach, ‘in this you rejoice’, even as you may be grieved by various trials (can there ever be a more timely encouragement?) stand strong in the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold, and as you do… As you rejoice, giving honor unto the Lord for His great mercy and love poured out for you upon the cross of Calvary… As you anchor your faith in Christ Jesus, knowing that in His resurrection was the divine declaration of his sonship, you will give praise for the forgiveness of sin; for your redemption through your Lord Jesus; for the power of the Holy Spirit; for your eternal, imperishable gift of life everlasting (1Peter 1, John 10)! Praise be the name of Jesus!
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:8-9).
We serve our risen Lord Jesus! He is Lord of all. Our hope for today and tomorrow is in Him. ‘Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:57). I am reminded today of the worship selection today titled ‘He Lives’. I pray you will sing or repeat this with me today…
I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him, He’s always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.
May you be blessed today by the audio sermon ‘I See Jesus’. He is calling you today. See Him. He is your Lord and Savior!
Be blessed this Easter Sunday!
